OCTOBER SMALL GROUP SESSIONS
Improve your fastpitch skills this October with Small Group Sessions at The ATTIC!
Train in a focused, small-group environment with a maximum of six athletes per group. Led by experienced instructors, sessions will focus on pitching, hitting, infield defense, and catcher defense, helping athletes strengthen fundamentals, build confidence, and take their game to the next level.
Space is limited to just six athletes per group, so register early to secure your spot!
Session Details
Ages: 9–18U
Location: The ATTIC | 1892 17th Ave S, Fargo, ND 58103
Group Size: Maximum of 6 players
Cost: $120 per participant, per group
Pitching with Justin Feist
Dates: October 5, 12, 19, & 26 (4 sessions)
Focus: Fundamentals of fastpitch pitching mechanics, footwork, arm action, accuracy, and control.
Available Groups
- Group 1 – Pitching (Intro to Pitching): Ages 9–12 | 6:00–7:00 PM
- Group 2 – Pitching (Intermediate): Ages 9–14 | 7:00–8:00 PM
- Group 3 – Pitching (Advanced): Ages 14-18 | 8:00–9:00 PM
Hitting & Infield Defense with Cora Zackrison
Dates: October 7, 14, 21, & 28 (4 sessions)
Hitting Focus: Fundamentals of stance, grip, swing mechanics, strength, and power development.
Infield Defense Focus: Fundamentals of fielding ground balls, footwork, glove work, and throwing accuracy.

- Group 4 – Infield Defense: Ages 9–12 | 4:00–5:00 PM
- Group 5 – Hitting: Ages 9–12 | 5:00–6:00 PM
- Group 6 – Hitting: Ages 13–18 | 6:00–7:00 PM
- Group 7 – Infield Defense: Ages 13–18 | 7:00–8:00 PM
Catcher Defense with Teagan Pranchke
Dates: October 8, 15, 22, & 29 (4 sessions)
Focus: Fundamentals of catching, including receiving, blocking, footwork, throwing accuracy, and controlling the running game.
Available Group
- Group 8 – Catcher Defense: Ages 12-18 | 7:00–8:00 PM
If a session is unavailable during registration, the group may be full. If registration numbers for a group are low, you may be contacted by the Fargo Area Sports office regarding alternative arrangements.
Additional Information
- Eligibility: Open to Fargo Area Fastpitch and Dakota Select players registered for the 2026 and/or 2027 season. Non-FAF/DS players may register beginning 10 days prior to the first session.
- Equipment: Players attending hitting sessions should bring a bat and helmet. Players attending infield defense sessions should bring a glove. Additional equipment will be available if needed.
- Footwear: Clean, dry tennis shoes are required. No cleats.
- Registration: Please use the 2027 Age Chart when selecting your age group. Registration is available at the bottom of the page.
About the Instructor
Justin Feist
Justin began his coaching career in 2015, working with athletes through individual lessons before joining the West Fargo Packers as an assistant coach for two seasons. He also spent three summers coaching the West Fargo United 16U team.
For the past five seasons, Coach Feist has coached with the Dakota Selects program, formerly known as Diamond Academy, helping lead the program to two state championships.
Coach Feist began playing men’s fastpitch in 2009, primarily as a catcher, and has since added pitching to his game. He is a two-time All-World selection at the NAFA World Series, won a National Championship in 2015, and has competed in the prestigious ISC World Tournament.
Coach Feist emphasizes the mental side of the game, helping young athletes develop confidence, focus, and a strong approach to competition.
Cora Zackrison
Cora brings more than 10 years of experience coaching youth and travel softball, along with six years of coaching at the collegiate level. She is an ASA Certified Softball Coach and earned a BA in Exercise Science from Concordia College, where she played four years of collegiate softball and served as team captain.
She later earned her MA in Leadership from the University of Jamestown and has held collegiate coaching positions at the University of South Carolina Beaufort and Northland College. Cora has since returned to Concordia College, where she currently serves as the head softball coach.
Teagan Pranchke
Teagan recently completed an accomplished four-year softball career at Minnesota State University Moorhead, where she was primarily a catcher for the Dragons. She is now an assistant softball coach at Concordia College, where she continues to share her knowledge and experience with collegiate athletes.
During her senior season in 2026, Teagan earned All-NSIC Second Team honors after starting 52 games and leading the Dragons with a .333 batting average and 49 hits. She also led the team with 25 runs scored, posted a .417 on-base percentage, stole 14 bases, and recorded a .980 fielding percentage.
Behind the plate, Teagan developed a reputation for consistency and strong defensive play. She finished her MSUM career ranked among the program's all-time top 10 in several categories, including games played, career on-base percentage, stolen bases, putouts, sacrifice hits, and fielding percentage.
Teagan brings both collegiate playing and coaching experience to young athletes, with an emphasis on developing strong fundamentals, confidence, and a deeper understanding of the game.
